Real-time audience estimation
Live audience for every live spot.
What it is
The streaming-as-proxy model.
Programmatic depends on knowing how many people are listening, right now. Traditional ratings can't do that — they're weeks out of date and don't cover most Canadian markets.
Resonate uses live streaming listenership as a proxy for total broadcast audience. The model knows that broadcast listening tends to look like a two-humped camel — peaking at morning and afternoon drive — while streaming looks like a bell curve, growing through the morning and declining through the afternoon.
The relationship between those two patterns produces a real-time estimate of total audience for every spot.

Why it's proven
Five years of receipts.
This is the same methodology that powers Pattison's Validate attribution product, in market five years across thousands of advertisers.
Validate uses historical streaming logs for post-campaign reporting. Resonate uses the same relationships in real time, to estimate live audience for every spot.
What's new isn't the model. It's the speed.
